Andrew has served as a well-respected Headmaster at the Summit View Army Primary School in Kampala — overseeing all aspects of the education and welfare of students who are the children of Uganda’s active-duty military personnel. In this capacity, Andrew collaborated with NIGH and others to tell the story of his faculty and students celebrating in Kampala’s 2017 UN Day — promoting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Andrew, Jeniffer and their family have now established their Canadian Permanent Residence — through the new Canadian Immigration Pathway for new immigrants — since their arrivals in Canada in 2018 and 2019 respectively and are serving in the North York region of Toronto Ontario. Andrew has continued his commitment to the worldwide 'Teachers' Dialogue' — now using WhatsApp technology to facilitate ongoing discussions with and contributions by Africans and African Diaspora from more than 80 countries. As a NIGH Advisor, he is now collaborating to encourage the Teachers' Dialogue network to join — as 'concerned citizens' — within NIGH’s worldwide advocacy to promote the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and our collective commitment to the Nightingale Declaration for A Healthy World.
Andrew is a significant asset to his community, church, co-workers and family — with deep concern to be of support — however and whenever he can — to Canada’s and the world's African diaspora — as well as to all peoples. As well, he is a beloved father who, with Jeniffer, has raised four children to become successful young adults and teens.
